First thing's first, you will need an IRC client of your choice. There's tons of choices for just about any platform you're on, be it Windows, UNIX, J2ME, whatever ya got! All you gotta do is connect your client to metal.pc98.online on port 6667 and you're in!
(If it doesn't work try turning off SSL on your client and it should work. Refer to your client's instruction manual for help.)
1. When using IRC, your IP can be seen by everyone in and outside the channel you're in. DO NOT panic. This in itself doesn't put you in any inherent danger. If you're VERY paranoid however, you can hide it with the command: /vhost public public which will hide your IP using the public vhost. Do keep in mind this doesn't work on all clients though.
2. The admins are MetalJack98 and Awalwashig, message us if you have trouble with the server. To verify that we are indeed who we say we are, use /whois MetalJack98 and /whois Awalwashig and if the results tell you that we are a NetAdmin, that means we are indeed the admins. We will NEVER ask you for passwords, account details of any kind, personal info, or ask you to download any programs or visit sites we do not operate.
3. Operators are channel moderators. Please respect them and their channel rules. If you got beef with an operator or their channel, go make your own! Settles disputes with the operators themselves, NOT with server staff. We're not here to baby sit.
4. If you violate these rules, as well as US laws, we WILL ban if we find you doing so.
